Is Blxckie working on new music with Canadian singer Nelly Furtado? The 'Ye x4' hitmaker, who is currently in California, was pictured in the studio with the star over the weekend.

"A Sydenham heights boy and Nelly Furtado," he captioned a post with the 'Maneater' singer.

Blxckie, whose real name is Sihle Sithole, did not share any further details about the project. He also shared a video of Nelly dancing to a track, but the song was muted.

The 23-year-old's fans are speculating that he will either feature on an upcoming song with Nelly or he is helping her team produce music.

Nelly replied to Blxckie's post by sharing several heart emojis. Some of his famous friends also took to the comments section.

"Legendary," rapper Cassper Nyovest wrote.

Shekhinah commented: "Screaming."

"Wow," J'Something added.

Blxckie's star has been rising rapidly since he burst into mainstream music in 2020 with 'Big Time Sh'lappa'. Apple Music named Blxckie its latest 'Africa Rising Artist' in 2021.

He released his debut full-length album, 'B4Now',  that same year. The album earned him his first gold plaque. Blxckie has worked with K.O, Nasty C and A-Reece.

The BET Hip Hop Awards nominee also featured on AKA's last album, 'Mass Country', which dropped on February 24 - two weeks after the rapper was shot dead in Durban.  Blxckie appeared on a track called 'Dangerous', which also featured AKA's girlfriend,  Nadia Nakai

Earlier this month, singer Elaine announced that she collaborated with Blxckie on her new song, 'Loving You'.

"Screeeeaminggg I'm so excited to finally share this with you all. This part of my life has been full of love in so many ways. Thank you to everyone involved mostly @blxckie_," the 'You're The One' hitmaker wrote on Instagram.
