Forbes magazine has named Beyoncé as the highest earning female musician in the world for 2017.

The ‘Crazy in Love’ singer earned a whopping $105-million, about R1.47-billion, before taxes over the past year.

Sales of her critically acclaimed ‘Lemonade’ album, and her successful ‘Formation Tour’ helped edge her past Adele and Taylor Swift, who are number two and three respectively.

Adele is not far behind, with earnings of $69-million, thanks to her hit album ‘25’, while Taylor, who has been MIA from the music scene until recently, took home $44-million.

Taylor was last year’s number one female earner with estimated earnings of $170-million.

Celine Dion, whose Las Vegas show remains a top attraction, and Jennifer Lopez rounded out the top 5.

Here’s a look at the Top 10:

1.       Beyoncé ($109-million)

2.       Adele ($69-million)

3.       Taylor Swift ($44-million)

4.       Celine Dion ($42-million)

5.       Jennifer Lopez ($38-million)

6.       Dolly Parton ($37-million)

7.       Rihanna ($36-million)

8.       Britney Spears ($34 million)

9.       Katy Perry ($33 million)

10.   Barbra Streisand ($30-million)

The list considers earnings from June 2016 to June 2017.

It’s not only their vocals that make them top earners. The singers’ non-music related ventures, such as Beyoncé’s ‘Ivy Park’ clothing line, and endorsement deals also contributed to their overall tallies.

"I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company… I'm an entrepreneur... I don't want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls,” Katy Perry told Forbes.
