Africa stand up! Tyla, Wizkid release 'Dynamite' music video
Updated | By Music Reporter
Tyla's new song with Wizkid is dynamite!

Two of Africa's biggest superstars are heating up the airwaves with a new song and music video.
South African singer Tyla has released the music video for her latest song, 'Dynamite,' which features Nigerian musician Wizkid.
The video was shot in a Moroccan-style apartment. Another scene shows the artists in what appears to be ancient ruins.
Nabil Elderkin directed the visuals. He also helmed Tyla's 'Jump' music video, which featured Skillibeng and Gunna.
"Tyla and Wizkid made a summer banger with this one," a fan commented on YouTube.
Another YouTuber said, "I love it when South Africans and Nigerians make a collab. It’s always a banger."
Speaking to Capital XTRA about the song, Tyla says she started making 'Dynamite' in 2022.
"He invited me to record with him, and I went to him and I laid some stuff down. The fact that it is still a banger after three years tells me that's a good song," the Grammy Award-winner said.
The pair recorded the track before Tyla's 2023 hit single, 'Water', was released. She was surprised that Wizkid wanted to work with her despite the fact that only few people knew about her at the time.
The 23-year-old says she is a big fan of Wizkid and what he has done for African creatives.
"He's done so much for the culture, just pushing out music, bringing eyes towards our creatives back home. He's just the best. All his songs are good. I don't think he has one bad song."
Tyla's fans feel the same way about her music.
"You can’t convince me Tyla has a bad song. She’s NEVER made a bad song, and she never misses. Tyla, we love you," the fan wrote on YouTube.
'Dynamite' appears on the 23-year-old's EP, 'WWP', which stands for 'We Wanna Party'.
The EP also features 'Bliss,' 'Mr. Media,' and 'Is It.'
Tyla says 'WWP' was meant to be a full-length album, but she decided to give her Tygers, as her fans are called, "something to feed on".
"I'm making different music, which is exciting." Her Tygers can look forward to more music, including some "exciting features".
Tyla has already collaborated with Blackpink's Lisa and rapper Sean Paul in 2025.
She also has a tour in Asia later this year. Performances are planned for Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila, and Singapore.
