Elections 2016: Politicians cast their ballots

President Jacob Zuma, DA leader Mmusi Mainane and the IFP's Mangosuthu Buthelezi are some of the politicians that have voted in the 2016 Local Government Elections. Here's a view from voting stations.
In KZN, Zuma cast his ballot at the Ntolwane Primary School in Nkandla. The leader of the ruling party was shown standing in the queue to vote at the polling station a short distance from his home.
Arriving with his wife, Irene - IFP leader Mangusuthu Buthelezi cast his vote at the Buthelezi Traditional Court.

DA mayoral candidate Hannif Hoosen has voted at Glenview Primary School in Chatsworth.
Former KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu - who voted at Heuweland Primary School in Empangeni - says being able to cast his vote is a right that all citizens have been able to enjoy since 1994.
