SA ready for a woman president: KwaDukuza deputy mayor
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
KwaDukuza deputy mayor Dolly Govender believes South Africa is ready to be lead by a woman president.

Govender was part of a panel taking part in a Women's Day dialogue session at the Luthuli Museum in Groutville on the north coast yesterday.
The dialogue is an annual event commemorating the women of 1956 who took to the streets against oppressive pass laws.
Govender says women have been doing well in the private and public sectors.
"Talking about the presidency, it's been dominated by males for far too long and I think it's time that the women of South Africa need to look at a large scale, saying the women are the ones that need to put a woman there [in the position]," she said.
