Zinhle's mother, Sinenhlanhla - who had been sitting for a matric exam at the time - says at first she thought it was a joke when she was first told of the incident.
She's appealed to anyone with information to help find her little girl.
"I've cried so many times. Now I can't even cry, I can't even smile, I can't even eat, I can't even drink any water... My emotions are so sad. I don't know where my child is. I don't even know what she's eating, or even drinking," she said.
