LISTEN: SADESMO backs striking UKZN students
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Students there have been protesting over a number of issues - including a fee increase and the alleged sexual assault of students at the hands of members of the police.
During a media briefing in Durban earlier today, SADESMO's Sbongakonke Mhlongo said they did not condone the violence that has seen the destruction of various university buildings - including the burning down of the Howard College law library.
Mhlongo, however, says the conduct of the campus security personnel belonging to the MI7 company has left a lot to be desired.
