Usher and H.E.R. release 'Risk It All' music video

Usher praises H.E.R. for co-writing their "beautiful" new song.

Usher has dropped the music video for his new song, 'Risk It All'. The track features R&B singer and songwriter H.E.R. 

'Risk It All' is the second single released from 'The Color Purple' soundtrack. The visuals for the song were released on Wednesday. 

Usher shared a snippet of the video on Instagram. He also thanked H.E.R. for collaborating with him on the song.

"'A special thank U to @hermusicofficial …U produced and co-wrote such a beautiful record. Appreciate U for blessing this video with all of your greatness," Usher wrote. 

Taraji P. Hensen, who plays Shug Avery in the 2023 film, is a big fan of the single. 

"My fav song on the soundtrack," she commented.

'The Color Purple' soundtrack includes songs from stars such as Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, and Missy Elliott. 

Local artists,  Brenden Praise and Bongani 'Mörda' Mohosana, appear on 'Mysterious Ways (Mörda Remix)'.

H.E.R. also stars in the movie, which is co-produced by Oprah Winfrey. She plays Mary Agnes. 

Fantasia Barrino, Danielle Brooks ,Colman Domingo and 'The Little Mermaid' star Halle Bailey also make appearances. 

The year 2023 has been a busy one for Usher. He wrapped up his 'My Way' Las Vegas residency in December. 

The show was attended by A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Zendaya, Queen Latifah, Kevin Hart, and Keke Palmer. 

Usher also released several new songs in 2023, including 'Boyfriend'. 

The new year has not started but things are already looking good for Usher. He is set to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show, presented by Apple Music, in February 2024.
