Many musicians have come and gone, but Mabbrrrrrrrrrr will remain Mzansi’s favourite female artist of all time.
This was revealed on Friday after Twitter user Dr Zickie asked: “When you hear 'South Africa's biggest female artist of all time', who comes to mind first?”
Many South Africans chose Brenda Fassie.

Facts about Brenda Fassie
Brenda Fassie, born 3 November 1964, united Africa with her music.
She was born in Langa, a township near Cape Town.
The ‘Weekend Special’ hit maker started singing from an early age.
According to SA History, she started making money from music at the age of 5.
She was a Tiny Tots band member and at the mere age of 16, Fassie and the band released 'Weekend Special'. The song made her a household name.
From then on she released more hits such as 'Vulindlela' and 'Mama'.
Fassie sadly died on 9 May 2004.
