South African rapper Stogie T has released an emotional new song dedicated to the hip-hop stars we lost in recent years.

The rapper paid tribute to Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes, who was shot dead alongside his friend Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane in February this year.

Stogie T, whose real name is Boitumelo Molekane, shared his freestyle, 'Survivor's Guilt', on his Instagram page this week.

"My lil brother, was killed brother / Helped mold his career brother / I got guilt brother / Was all hip-hop brother / Maybe we wasn't eve friends/ Trying to be the mentor/ Til that tragic friend, " he raps as images of AKA flash on the screen.

Stogie T and AKA worked together on several occasions in the past.

Stogie encourages his peers to give each other their flowers while they are still alive.

"If your boy doing good go hype that s**t up, and if your boy doing bad don't bite your lip. Life too short for regret after the fact... People never get to put their flowers in a vase. All the bouquets get placed over their graves" he raps.
