Naomi Campbell congratulates Burna Boy on "historical concert"

The 'Last Last' hitmaker performed for 80,000 people during his sold out concert in the UK.

Burna Boy is making music history. The Nigerian music superstar has become the first African artist to sell out London Stadium. 

With a capacity of 80,000 - filling up the stadium is no small feat! 

According to the stadium's website, Burna Boy is also the first African artist to headline a UK Stadium. 

The 31-year-old performed at the venue on Saturday, June 3. Supermodel Naomi Campbell was one of the stars in the audience who watched him make history.

"YES YES YES!!! Perfection from start to finish!! Congratulations Burna, Bose, @thenamix @r0nami @nissination and [the] entire team of Love Damini Tour!! You did it!" she wrote on Instagram. 

Naomi added that this is just the beginning for African artists. 

"Proud I got to witness this, and see the world embracing and opening the doors (staying open ) to #Afrobeats and the amazing creatives from #Africa, just the beginning."

Several other A-list stars congratulated Burna Boy. Actress Zoe Saldana wrote: "So good!!!"

Busta Rhymes left applause emojis in the comments section. 

American DJ, D-Nice, wrote: "Incredible." 

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, had only one thing to say after his historical concert. "I told them..."

Next stop, New York City!

Burna Boy is taking his 'Love, Damini' tour to Citi Field baseball stadium in Queens. The concert is taking place in July. The stadium has a capacity of more than 45,000.

'Love, Damini' is Burna Boy's sixth studio album. South African singing group Ladysmith Black Mambazo features on the album's title track. Ed Sheeran, J Balvin, Kehlani, and Khalid also feature.

'Last Last' - one of the singles on the album - received a Grammy nomination for 'Best Global Music Performance'. 

The album was also nominated in the 'Best Global Music Album' category.

Burna Boy will also be performing at Pepsi's kick-off show at the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, June 10. 

"I promise you’re not gonna want to miss this," Burna told his fans.
