Miley Cyrus is going to reinvent herself yet again!

The platinum selling pop singer will be releasing a new album later this year, and will be going back to her country roots.

The singer sat down for a candid interview with Billboard magazine recently to talk about her new music.

Miley will release a love song called 'Malibu' on May 11, which is about her fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

The track is the first single off her new album.

She told the magazine why she decided to open up about her love life so publicly.

"They’re going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam. So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, 'This is how I feel?'"

The former Disney star's latest offering will apparently be her most DIY album to date.

According to Billboard magazine, Miley wrote the melodies and lyrics for all the tracks on the album.

“This is Miley leaning into her roots more than I’ve ever heard,” her father Billy Ray Cyrus told the publication.

Liam is not the only famous person Miley has written a song about on the album.

She also penned one for Hillary Clinton.

Miley says her new music is singer-songwriter-y,. "but not granola", because she does not "listen to Ed Sheeran and John Mayer and stuff".
