Kanye West buys childhood home after revealing his billionaire status
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Kanye West has been declared a billionaire thanks to his Yeezy sneaker brand.
Home is where the heart is. No matter how old we grow, our childhood home will always have a special place in our hearts.
This is why Kanye West forked out a whopping $225,000 (approximately R4,172,577) to purchase his childhood home in Chicago's South Shore.
According to media reports, Kanye's mother bought the house in the early 1980s but sold it in 2004.
The news of the purchase comes just after Forbes revealed over the weekend that Kanye is a billionaire.
Although the superstar is making a lot of money from music, his wealth was made mostly from his Yeezy sneaker brand.
