Sure, Ariana Grande has been dropping hit single after hit single and Justin Bieber is about to release a new album, but when was the last time you listened to a 100% South African born-and-bred artist?

And not just one song either.

How long has it been since you've listened to a complete album, that was written, produced, and had its full creation take place on South African soil?

He'll be chatting to them, learning more about them and their musical journey, while also giving them the chance to perform one of their songs, live and unplugged, just for you.

Today marks the first showcase as we welcome Mzansi Arts Development Ensemble (MADE) to the ECR stage.

MADE is a Durban-based non-profit and community-driven organisation that actively creates a positive environment, by promoting Arts and Culture as a source for any artistically driven individuals to come together, use their talents and unique skills, and grow as artists.

They hope to do so through an intense and integrated academic, development, and training programme that focuses on all the different aspects of achieving a successful, creative, and artistic career, no matter whether you are a dancer, singer, crafter or actor.

Like every other person in the world, MADE saw the effects the COVID-19 pandemic had on the creative community, but did not lose hope.

Instead, their creative director, Mr Lucky Cele, wrote a song, roped in a bunch of emerging professional artists, completed it and even shot a music video, all in an effort to help struggling artists during this time.

It doesn't just stop there: by downloading the single you are helping MADE feed an artist.

We don't know of a group of musicians that could possibly be more deserving of this platform.
