Jungkook is used to breaking records with his mega-famous K-pop band, BTS.

However, the 26-year-old 'Seven' hitmaker is proving he can do just as well on his own. Jungkook collaborated with The Kid Laroi and Central Cee on the song, 'Too Much', in 2023.

The track raced up the charts across the globe, reaching the top 10 on the charts in Australia, India, Singapore, and the UK.

According to Forbes, 'Too Much' has now spent 17 weeks on the Adult Pop Airplay chart in the US.

Jungkook has now tied the record held by BTS on the same chart for the group's song, 'Butter'

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:

'Too Much' is not Jungkook's only big song as a solo artist.

'Seven', which he released in 2023, was a #1 hit in America, China, India, Indonesia, Latvia, Malaysia, and more.

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) named the track, which features American rapper Latto, the 10th biggest song of 2023.

Several months after releasing the song, Jungkook enlisted in the South Korean military. He was one of the last two members of BTS to do so.

South Korea requires all able-bodied men to serve at least 18 months in the military.

Jin enlisted in December 2022 followed by J-Hope in April 2023. SUGA became the third member to enlist in the South Korean military.

As of December, 23, all seven members of BTS - including RM, V, and Jimin, had enlisted.

BTS is expected to reunite in 2025 after they have all completed their military service.
