Janet Jackson's new self-titled documentary has put her old music back on the charts. The 55-year-old's four-hour documentary debuted in the UK and the US.

Janet bares her soul in the documentary, which takes a look at her 40 years in the music industry. The 'That's The Way Love Goes' hitmaker opens up about her highs and lows, including "nipplegate".

She talked openly about the 2004 Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction.

Janet says she remains "good friends" with Justin Timberlake. The 'SexyBack' singer ripped off part of her top during their performance. He accidentally exposed one of her breasts.

Janet took most of the blame for the incident. She says she has moved on from "nipplegate".

"This whole thing was blown way out of proportion. Of course, it was an accident that should not have happened but everyone is looking for someone to blame and that's got to stop. Justin and I are very good friends and we will always be very good friends. We spoke just a few days ago and he and I have moved on and it is time for everyone else to do the same," she said.

The Grammy Award winner also talked about her relationship with her father, Joe Jackson - who was accused of beating his children and emotional abuse.

“He was very tough. He told us what he wanted us to do and we did it," she said. Despite her father's tough attitude when it came to his children's careers, Janet spoke fondly of both her parents.

"They just loved us and wanted us to be the best we could be. Obviously, it worked.”

Janet also defended her brother, Michael Jackson, against sexual abuse allegations. She says Coca-Cola dropped her from an endorsement deal due to the claims.

"My brother would never do something like that, but I'm still guilty by association. That's what they call it, right? He didn't have that in him," she said in the docuseries.

Janet shared a preview of her new song, 'Luv Luv', in the documentary. A snippet from the song played during the end credits.

Her fans can't wait to hear the full version. "I respectfully ask for you to release Luv I Luv so we can get that to #1 as well."

Some of Janet's old music is climbing up the charts in the wake of the documentary's release.

Her album, 'Control', 'Design of a Decade', 'The Velvet Robe', 'Best of Number Ones', and 'Unbreakable', featured in the top 10 of the 'Pop Album' chart on iTunes.

'Rhythm Nation 1814' and 'Janet' also made an appearance on the R&B album chart.
