It features 'Under You', a song that talks about grieving Hawkins.

"I had a person I loved and, just like that, I was left to live without him," states the lyrics of the song.

Earlier on, the band released a statement giving more details about the album.

In a press release, the band said the album will encapsulate everything they have had to endure in the past year, including the death of their dear band member.

“A brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year, ‘But Here We Are’ is a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family,” the band stated in the press release.

“Courageous, damaged and unflinchingly authentic, ‘But Here We Are’ opens with newly released lead single ‘Rescued,’ the first of 10 songs that run the emotional gamut from rage and sorrow to serenity and acceptance, and myriad points in between.”

'The Teacher', a 10-minute-long song, also references the passing of Hawkins and Grohl’s mother, Virginia.
