The Backstreet Boys took their DNA World Tour to Toronto, Canada, this past weekend and brought out a special guest.

Drake, who was born and raised in Ontario, made an unexpected appearance at the show. He joined the 90s boy band on stage to perform their hit song, 'I Want It That Way'.

"When she says she’s over men in this generation and asks why I live alone…" Drake captioned a clip from their performance.

The rapper also revealed that he has a special connection to the single - which he describes as one of the greatest songs in music history.

"At 13 years old, I had a bar mitzvah, and at my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this girl I was in love with came up to me while one of the greatest songs in the world was playing, and she asked me if I would dance with her. It was the first time I ever felt acknowledged, and it was the first time I ever felt like, you know, I had a shot at being cool," People quoted him as saying.

The Backstreet Boys released 'I Want It That Way' in 1999 as the lead single from their 'Millennium' album. The single received three Grammy nominations, including 'Song of the Year'.

Their fans are now begging for a remix of the song featuring Drake. The Backstreet Boys seemed equally excited to have Drake on stage with them.

"What’s better than I Want It That Way? I Want It That Way…. f/ @champagnepapi," the group captioned a clip from their performance.

All five Backstreet Boys members are part of the world tour. AJ McLean, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, and Kevin Richardson resumed the tour in June after several delays caused by the pandemic.

Despite them being in their 40s and 50s, the group continues to draw thousands of screaming fans. Their two shows in Toronto were sold out.

They have upcoming shows in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and more.
