Demi Lovato announces title and album release date

Demi Lovato is going back to her pop-punk days for her new album.

Demi Lovato has just released the title of her upcoming album. The 'Cool For The Summer' singer, who also uses the pronouns they/them, announced the details on all her social media platforms. 

Demi's eighth studio album will be called 'Holy FVK' and will see the star returning to their pop-punk days. The album will debut on 19 August 2022. 

The 29-year-old has shared a teaser for the project's lead single, 'Skin Of My Teeth'. The song drops on June 10. 

She sings on the song: 

I'm alive by the skin of my teeth
I survived but it got harder to breathe
Asking 'why' doesn't make it easier
Go easier on me
Goddamnit I just want to be free

Demi's new 16-track album is the follow-up album to 2021's 'Dancing with the Devil… The Art of Starting Over'.

The singer says thee new album speaks for itself. 

"The process of making this album has been the most fulfilling yet, and I’m grateful to my fans and collaborators for being on this journey with me. Never have I been more sure of myself and my music, and this record speaks that for itself," she said in a statement, according to Billboard

Demi will release the music video for her new song on Friday. Check out the album trailer below for a snippet of what fans can expect.
