Andrea Bocelli's fans are celebrating news that he is adding South Africa to his 30th Anniversary Tour...
It might be a long wait, but Andrea Bocelli is coming to our shores in 2025, and his fans are bursting with excitement.
The Italian tenor will visit our shores in April next year and perform three shows—two in Pretoria and one in Cape Town.
His fans are already counting down the days. "This is going to be spectacular," one X user wrote.
Another Andrea fan joked: "I am selling a limb."
It's been six years since the 65-year-old's last show in Mzansi. According to Big Concerts, he will perform alongside a 60-piece choir and 69-piece orchestra.
The Symphony Choir of Johannesburg and the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra will feature at his shows in Pretoria.
The Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra will join him in the Mother City.

Pre-sale tickets were sold on Wednesday, 22 May, for Discovery Bank users.
General tickets will be made available on Friday, May 24.

Andrea Bocelli 30th Anniversary Tour
Andrea will celebrate 30 years in music with a three-day concert event in July.
'Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration' will occur at the Teatro del Silenzio in Tuscany, Italy. Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, and David Foster are among the special guest performers.
"As a child, I learned to dream about my future in the enchanted silence of these hills. Then life made that dream happen. Today, 30 years later, I can only imagine celebrating my career and my life, its strength, and its wondrous beauty here at Teatro del Silenzio, surrounded by such wonderful artists and friends. I want to thank everyone who helped my childhood dreams come true with an unforgettable concert," Andrea said in March.
Ed is a big Andrea fan. He released a remix of his hit single, 'Perfect', featuring the beloved tenor in 2017.
He is not the only A-list star who loves Andrea's music. Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney Kardashian hired him to perform at their weddings.
The famous sisters had a falling out over copycat behaviour, and Kim noted that Kourtney stole her wedding singer.
"I got married in Italy. Am I saying you copied me by getting married in Italy? Who performed at my wedding? Andrea Bocelli. Who performed at Kourtney’s wedding? Andrea Bocelli. You stole my f***ing wedding country and my wedding performer... but I’m copying her Dolce Vita lifestyle," Kim said on their reality show, 'The Kardashians'.
Andrea Bocelli is clearly a hit with people from all walks of life, including young and old.
