Two tips to remove bad odours from your sneakers

Here are two home remedies that will help remove bad smells from your sneakers.

Wearing smelly shoes is embarrassing and should be avoided at all costs. 

What causes shoes to smell?

Several things can cause your shoes to smell. 

Sometimes the smell is caused by wearing the shoes when they haven't dried and sometimes it can be caused by wearing your sneakers over a long period without socks. This is because the bacteria caused by sweat from your feet can cause bad odour. 

But, we all know how embarrassing smelly shoes are. So, let's look at ways to get rid of the bad smell. 

How to get rid of bad odour

Apart from washing your shoes and letting them dry in the sun, here are more tricks you can use to get rid of the bad smell.

Baking Soda

Sprinkling one tablespoon of baking soda in your shoes can help get rid of the nasty smell. This is because baking soda is a great odour neutraliser. 

Just sprinkle, shake the shoe to ensure the soda has penetrated the whole shoe, leave it overnight, and clean out the soda the next day.

Fabric Softener Sheets 

Put a new dryer fabric softener sheets into each smelly shoe and leave it in overnight. 

Remove the sheet in the morning before wearing your shoes. 

Your shoes will be smelling fresh!
