Three unique uses for super glue
Updated | By Lifestyle Reporter
Did you ever think to use super glue for things other than fixing broken ornaments?
We are sure that a lot of you have had the displeasure of seeing your favourite ornament dropped or broken. The horror!
When this happens, super glue is your best friend. The bonding product is 'super' for a reason, as it acts fast to ensure your ornament is put back to one piece.
But did you know that you can use super glue for other things? Prepare to see this glue in a whole new light!
1 - Seal that cut
What if your broken ornament cut your finger? Well, before you panic, use your super glue to first fix yourself! Simply clean the area around the wound, place a few drops of super glue over the cut, then cover with a plaster. No more bleeding and your quick recovery time will mean you can now pay attention to that cracked precious ornament.
2 - Fix your clothing
You have just put your favourite sweater on and then BAM, you catch it on the door handle. Sad face. This may be a time to cry, but before you do so, remember that you have super glue in your cupboard. To keep the nick from getting any worse, simply apply some super glue to the affected area, and you are good to go. Obviously this only works for small nicks, not massive holes.
3 - Play that guitar for longer
If you are a guitarist, then you will know that your fingers take a beating. Yes, you can use a plectrum, but sometimes that takes away from the more natural sound made using just your fingers. Never fear, super glue is here. Simply apply some super glue to your finger tips and strum away. You will be able to complete a full set of Pink Floyd classics in no time.
