Most people (apart from those allergic to nuts) enjoy peanut butter from time to time. It works well on sandwiches or even when cooking. Delicious!

But did you ever think to use the peanut butter sitting on your kitchen shelf for things other than eating and cooking?

Well, we have come across three very random other uses for peanut butter, and we can't wait to let you in on the secret.

1 - Shaving made easy

Have you ever found yourself in a pickle when you realise you are out of shaving cream? Never fear, peanut butter is here! Simply smother a thin layer over your face and let the oils from the peanut butter protect your skin while shaving. It will also allow your razor to glide over your skin easily. You will also smell like a peanut afterwards - something we are not sure everyone will appreciate?

2 - Rid your kitchen of smelly odours

Hate the smell of garlic after cooking? What about fish? Well, there is a way to rid your kitchen of those potent smells easily and effectively. Simply plop a spoonful of peanut butter into a pan and heat it up. The cooking peanut butter will provide a rich, delicious smell that will remove any bad odour from the room. It is far more effective than air freshener, but will leave you with extra washing up to do.

3 - Easily remove gum from your hair

There are few things worse in life than having chewing gum stuck in your hair - especially if you are blessed with long, gorgeous locks. The thought of having to chop off a clump of hair is scary, but that is all about to change. Peanut butter has been proven as the perfect substance to help remove gum from your hair. All you need to do is rub the gum with the peanut butter, let it sit for a few minutes, then wash your hair. You may need to repeat the process if the gum starts to break apart, but usually it can be removed in one go.
