Gianni Versace's house goes on sale for a whooping R1-Billion

The house is described as "a truly grand, historic and opulent home for luxurious living and magnificent entertaining".

The house of the late Gianni Versace, the founder of Versace, an international luxury fashion brand, is reportedly on the market. 

The mansion is  selling for a whooping $70-million (R1.1-billion). 

It is located in East Side Manhattan Brokerage, New York. 

It was listed by real estate company Sotheby's International Realty.

The company described it as "a truly grand, historic and opulent home for luxurious living and magnificent entertaining".

The mansion has the following features:

- It has 17 rooms. 

- It spans more than 14,000 square feet.

- The mansion has over six elevator-serviced floors.

- It also has a fireplace. 

- The mansion has eleven bathrooms. 

- It has a reception room, breakfast room, a dining room and a game lounge. 

- There is a spacious library/office. 

One YouTube user described it as: "It's the home equivalent to the clothes worn on a runway of high fashion show."
