Many women would love to have long, thick, healthy hair, but many are not able to get it. Going to the salon for hair treatments or using chemicals to try to help your hair grow can be quite costly and time-consuming. The good news is you don’t have to spend a fortune to give your hair a helping hand.

In the article ‘Top 6 Vitamins for Hair Growth’ Dr Josh Axe, a wellness physician and popular radio show host, says that sometimes hair loss is due to a vitamin deficiency.

So, which vitamins can help your hair grow?

Multiple studies on hair growth have been done and researchers found that there are certain foods that can improve hair density and help it grow.

A study published on the Pub Med website found that a 6-month supplementation with omega 3&6 and antioxidants acts efficiently against hair loss and in improving hair density. Foods rich in Omega 3 & 6 include fish, oysters, nuts and soybeans.

Dr Axe recommends eating vitamin B5 foods such as eggs, beef, chicken, avocado, legumes, nuts and potatoes, and says they help the hair grow.

He also recommends Aloe Vera juice, Rosemary Essential Oil and foods that are rich in zinc, iron, vitamin C and vitamin D.
