Siblings Day: Our presenters share what they love most about their siblings

April 10 is Siblings Day - a day to appreciate siblings relationships.

Even though you might not always tell your brothers and sisters just how much they mean to you, today is a special day to do just that.

While many sibling relationships are filled with fighting and crying growing up, there’s also plenty of laughter, fun and love. Whether it's making fun of parents, or if you’re just in need of someone to vent to, there is no doubt that you can usually count on your siblings.

In celebration of Siblings Day, some of our presenters share just how much their siblings mean to them:

My brother is probably one of the most annoying humans I have ever met, but with that said he is like my best friend. He gets me on another level and we laugh SO much when we are together. We literally go out of our way to annoy one another and mess each other around. We have the same sense of humour and enough private jokes to last a lifetime. We just look at each other and we know what the other is thinking. Best of all he undoubtedly has my back and would do anything to protect me. If anyone messes with me, they mess with him too. He's my big little brother and I wouldn’t change him for the world. He inspires me, motivates me and challenges me. I really do have the best brother in the world!

I have two siblings – a brother and a sister. I love the fact that they are growing up, so they don’t have to bother me for money anymore. That’s some slight relief. Apart from that, they are breathing so that counts. I love my bro, uhm I need to think about that. Let’s move onto my sister real quick – I love the fact that she cleans my room almost every day and she also looks after my kid when I’m trying to be busy.

I have two sisters, both older than me.  Growing up I used to annoy them because I always wanted to do what they were doing. I must have seemed like an unwanted shadow, but as we grew up they became so important to me. I almost had three moms as my two older sisters took it upon themselves to nurture me and take care of me.  There has never been a crisis in my life that they have not been the first to encourage and assist me. I have so much love from my two older sisters.  When our mom passed away four years ago they were so good to me.  They are the kindest, gentlest, most generous souls I know, and I love them to bits.

What I love most about my sister, Kendyll, varies. When she was small, I could blame her for things I'd done. She was cute and the youngest, so she got away with stuff easily. No harm, no foul. Now that's she's a whole grown up, she's just a rad person to chat to. She's smart, cool, kind and wears leggings as pants. I respect that.
