Good enough to eat! Edible wedding invites are a thing

A woman is making headlines after sharing her unique wedding invites.

She ditched paper invites for something good enough to eat – bread!

Jazmin Reyes shared a picture of her edible invites on TikTok. An elegant ribbon is tied around a loaf of bread and stamped with her wedding logo.

It is wrapped in packaging with the words: 'Bready or not. Here we go.' The invite reveals the wedding date and includes a QR code for more details.

Reyes and her partner, Miguel Sotto, were concerned about what guests would think, but she says it was a hit with her older wedding guests.

"I was initially worried about how the reception would be for this invitation but my husband and I have been loving the reaction, and the messages we have been receiving from guests.

"Even the company that helped us produce this said that this was the first time they are doing this type of wedding invite," she said.

Reyes showed herself spreading chocolate on a slice of bread.

One guest told her that all invites should be edible. "You can't eat paper."

Reyes revealed another upside to her edible invites: "They were half the price of paper invites. It was truly loaf at first sight."

Her video has been watched over a million times on TikTok.

Reyes explained in a separate video that she wanted their wedding experience to start with the invite.

"We wanted something more unique than just paper, because I would get invitations that are paper, and I would kind of toss them out or forget about them," she said.

"I feel like it is such a waste of resources."

Social media users are sold on the idea with many saying they want to do the same when they get married.

"Saving this for my wedding!!!!! (I’m not even a fiancé)," one TikTok user commented.

Another user said: "Love the breadvitation!!! Such an iconic move."

One woman added that she was planning to spend thousands on her invites.

"I was looking at 7k+ for 200 invitations, and it breaks my heart to think ppl will prob toss it. This bread idea is so amazing."
