The start of the Easter long weekend is just hours away.

With schools on holiday and most offices closed for the weekend, you will need to find some exciting ways to keep your family entertained over the next four days.

From Easter egg hunts to family picnics, the options are endless.

Here's what you can get up to in and around the Durban area this weekend:

The Easter Eggsplore

Durban Botanic Gardens is playing host to an epic "Easter Egg Trail".  The Easter Bunny has hidden giant eggs all over the garden, and kids will also get a chance to meet the man... uhm, bunny himself.  There are also a host of other activities planned for April 15 and 16, including a Sticky Fingers Easter cupcake decorating stand, Carnival games, and face painting. Tickets are R45pp (1-3),  R95pp (4-14), and R40 for older teens and adults. A portion of the proceeds will be given to Durban Botanic Gardens Trust to fund conservation. You can buy your tickets here.
