Kettlebells aren't anything new, but their popularity in the fitness arena continues to grow — and with good reason.

When used correctly, kettlebells are extremely effective training tools for providing total-body strength and conditioning.

You are focusing on functional strength that will help you in all aspects of your daily life.

Here are a few reasons to start kettlebell training:

  1. Build dynamic total-body strength and conditioning.

  2. Brilliant way to include cardio into your training, especially if the treadmill makes you feel like a hamster on a wheel.

  3. Great combination of cardio and strength training, an efficient way to train if under time constraints.

  4. Exercises such as "The Swing" & " Goblet Squats" are fantastic fat burners.

  5. Very different from dumbbells and barbells. Due to the shape of the kettlebell, it recruits more stabiliser muscles.

  6. The tendons and ligaments will get stronger, making joints tougher and less susceptible to injuries.

  7. Build a lean, muscular physique - broader shoulders and defined abs.

  8. Women will not bulk up.

  9. Extremely versatile. Lose weight, build lean muscle, enhance sport performance or maintain fitness levels.

  10. Develop functional strength - KB training encourages the body to work as one unit.

Though watching videos is helpful, the best way to learn how to correctly utilise kettlebells is to work with a certified kettlebell instructor.

The kettlebell is a tool, but it's a unique tool that requires proper technique in order to get optimal results and train in the safest way possible.
