Whether it be hiking, fishing, biking, game viewing or just relaxing in magnificent natural surroundings, there is something for everyone.

Berg…

The 250,000ha Maloti-Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site is probably one of the most breathtakingly beautiful and easily accessible mountain ranges in the world!  The Maloti-Drakensberg Park is a dynamic wonderland of massive peaks and buttresses, towering sandstone cliffs, deep forested valleys, mountain rivers and streams, and rolling hills and grasslands.

This spectacular natural area contains many rock-shelters and caves with the largest and most concentrated collection of San rock art in Africa south of the Sahara, made by the San people (Bushman) over a period of 4,000 years. It is home to many species of fauna and flora.

A hiker’s and nature lover’s paradise, this mountain range is a wilderness where body and soul may be renewed through connection with nature. From a gentle amble along a self-guided trail or peacefully fishing in a river or dam, these extend to the rigours of rock-climbing or mountain biking for those with a taste for the high adventures of life.
