Nothing is more precious than finding the one who holds the keys to your heart. What is even more beautiful is being able to keep the love and fire burning even after some years, and that’s exactly what these celebrity couples have done.

With so many celebrity couples breaking up, it is always refreshing and inspiring to see those whose love has stood the test of time - those who prove that true love exists even in celebville.

Below are four of our favourite long-term celebrity couples.

Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo

Power couple Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo have been married for almost two decades.

In 2017 December, the couple celebrated their 17th anniversary. They took to social media to share their heartfelt messages to each other. Their love and commitment to each other is by far one of the most inspiring.

“As the years go by, I fall in love with you over and over again,” Basetsana wrote to Romeo.

She thanked him for being her lover, friend, confidant, inspiration, and best friend.

Seventeen years ago on this day, I walked down the aisle to marry the man of my dreams, my soulmate, my lover, my friend, my confidant, my inspiration, my person, my best friend. The one who believes the best of me, takes care of my heart, protects me, stands by me and loves all of me. Mntungwa thank you for choosing me to spend your life with. You bring me deep and immense joy. When God brought you into my life, He sure smiled at me. Thank you for all that you are to me and our #Tribe. As the years go by, I fall in love with you over and over again. My prayer for you is that the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you, the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Happy Seventeen Wedding Anniversary my baby. I love you Mntungwa ❤ #MyLifetimePartner #MyHeartBeat #MyInspiration #FatherOfTheTribe

They do not only use their films to tell stories about love, but their own lives are a beautiful story of love and power.

Gail and Kabelo Mabalane

Actress and businesswoman Gail Mabalane and her husband Kabelo are one inspirational couple.

The two recently welcomed their bundle of joy, baby Khumo.

They tied the knot five years ago, and the two are still very happily married. Kabelo can’t stop singing praises to his wife on Twitter.

Ntokozo Mbambo and Nqubeko Mbatha

The winner of the “I do” silver Awards 2015, Ntokozo and Nqubeko Mbatha are one of Mzanzi’s biggest and most loved celebrity couples. They're funny, lovely and inspiring too.

Ntokozo captured Nqubeko’s heart many years ago during their time as members of Joyous Celebration choir.

The two recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and are working on releasing a duet album in celebration of their anniversary.

“10 years later... Still going strong. You are everything & more that I had hoped & prayed for a husband to be,” Ntokozo wrote on Instagram.

“Thank you for NEVER making me cry tears of sadness or heartbreak these past ten years, but instead you’ve made me shed tears of joy & laughter. I love you forever & always” she wrote.
