Adrienne Bailon welcomes first baby

Congratulations are in order for Adrienne Bailon and husband Israel Houghton. 

The celebrity couple welcomed their first baby together. Israel, 47, has four children from a previous relationship.  

The birth of the baby boy, Ever James, was announced by the parents via Instagram on Tuesday. 

"Our baby boy is here & we are so in love!," wrote Adrienne. 

The baby was conceived through surrogate. Previously, Adrienne shared her struggles with trying to conceive on 'The Real'. 

"If you have followed our love story… you know that our journey to baby has been very challenging - But God is true to His word and His promises," she wrote.

The new mother revealed that they kept the pregnancy a secret. 

"We have quietly prayed while sitting on this most magnificent secret for the last 9 months. He is worth every tear, every disappointment, every delayed prayer, every IVF cycle, every miscarriage. Everything," she wrote. 

The parents said they are grateful to God for the arrival of the new member of the family. 

"All we feel is joy and overwhelming love & gratitude. Grateful to God, to our angel surrogate and to all of our friends and family who have stood with us for over 5 years on this journey. He’s here and we have never been happier to lose sleep!" she wrote. 

The couple got married in Paris in December 2019.
