Wednesday, 10 June - Wings of Hope Organisation

The Wings Of Hope Organisation is a cancer organisation for adults, babies, and kids.

But due to the lockdown, they have decided to now provide food hampers for people in Durban, mostly in the Phoenix area. Their aim is to provide families with meals for a week by handing out food hampers. At the beginning of the lockdown, they had many people who were willing to assist, but after President Ramaposa announced that the lockdown would be extended, many could not help.

This resulted in them getting together as a family to help those in need. They have given out more than 150 hampers and still receive calls daily from more people for assistance. Unfortunately, it has become very difficult, so they have now started to cook hot meals once a week to distribute to these families, but this is still not enough.

Kagiso Media Hunger Relief Fund is proud to award Wings of Hope Organization R12,500. Listen to their winning moment here:

Thursday, 11 June -  The Ultimate Gift Organisation

The Ultimate Gift Organisation was founded a year ago but has helped thousands. The most beautiful part of the giving process is that the sponsors are personally involved. For some, The Ultimate Gift is a new phone or a sports car, but for the organisation and its members, it's a meal, a set of clothes, milk, and diapers. The heart of their organisation is a group on Facebook, growing daily by the 100s. The blessings are immeasurable. With between 50 to 100 requests a day, 50% are fulfilled, even if it takes a few weeks.

"For the people, by the people"

Relying completely on funds from the community, they have managed to maintain their initial aim of feeding families.
Their goal is to be able to supply a family in need of food and essentials. And this has been going on since inception.
They did, however, hit a major shortfall when the national crisis came in and when we went into lockdown. Even families who normally would sponsor them were now in need.

They are out daily, feeding children in locations, taking hot meals to families in need. The joy in the giving is the smile on those receiving. Their motto is, "Together We Make It Possible".

The organisation is assisting people all around South Africa, it's not just local. Besides giving them assistance, they want to give them hope and show them that people do care, show them that, we all care.

Friday, 12 June - The Daily Harvest Africa Organisation

Welcome to Daily Harvest Africa's Facebook page. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the upliftment of rural creches in Northern Zululand. We believe creches are a vital foundation for poverty relief programs for without them, many parents of disadvantaged households would have nowhere to leave their children to enable them to go to work.

We operate in the Dukuduku and Khula areas in the province of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa and provide children in the creches with their basic daily needs like food, clothing and educational supplies which are funded by our donors.
