South Africans on lock down in China
Updated | By Gordon Graham
A South African couple's been on lock-down in their new home in China since the coronavirus outbreak. They chatted to East Coast Gold's Gordon Graham about how its been.
Kirsty and Oliver Boyes are two KwaZulu-Natal expats
living in Hefei, China where they moved to a year ago as Kirsty wanted some
international teaching experience.
Since the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus - now officially named COVID-19 - they have been on lock-down, cooped up in an apartment complex with little to no contact with the outside world.
We spoke to them to find out how they are
handling this frightening situation; what the restrictions are and how they are passing the time.
They are without doubt very brave people
but what shines through is their strong South African courage as they wait out
the virus far from home.
