East Coast Gold - home of classic hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s - is just under three months old and already it's become a firm favourite in some households.

One Durban-based listener recently emailed the team to say she's an avid fan of ECG:  "When listening to the awesome music from back in the day, it brings back so many good memories. I have to contain myself when I am listen to the station at work, from getting up and dancing around the office. I must admit I do get up and dance around the office sometimes! The songs make me feel young again."

She's not alone. People are switching on to the digital radio station from around the world, from Australia to Zimbabwe - and all the places in between, although our main audience is still from South Africa.

In our podcast below, Gordon chats to Zane Derbyshire, who - as Programming Manager of East Coast Radio has a wealth of experience in radio, and who was the driving force behind the newly launched digital station - along with project head, Di Macpherson, about the East Coast Gold philosophy as well as plans for 2020.
