Red Bull Shay’ iMoto is spinning onto the shores of Durban!
Updated | By East Coast Radio
The ultimate tyre-smoking showdown is spinning into Durban this August!

The Red Bull Shay’ iMoto is roaring into town for the first time ever, and it’s about to flip your idea of motorsport on its head (and then doughnut around it).
If you’ve never experienced the glorious chaos of car spinning, you’ve been missing out on one of South Africa’s wildest homegrown artforms.
Think: tyres screaming, smoke clouds billowing, and drivers doing things with a car that your driving instructor would faint over.

Spinning is part theatre, part motorsport, and 100% jaw-dropping showmanship. It’s more than just driving - it’s expressive, explosive, and proudly South African.

This is South Africa’s biggest spinning showdown, and this year, the action shifts from Cape Town to Durban’s own beachfront.
Sixteen of the country’s finest spinners will go tyre-to-tyre in a knockout format that’s all about skill, style, creativity and pure spinning swagger.

Some of the legends who’ll be spinning this year include:
Boksie - The 2024 champ. Smooth. Savage. Unstoppable.
Skopas / Bad Company - A spinning OG. Started in 2007, went full BMW beast mode in 2009, and hasn’t lifted off the pedal since.
Kaylin Oliphant - Started spinning at 14 and nearly won it all in 2019. She’s back, bolder and breaking more barriers than ever.
Jabu, Magesh Junior, Makgasa Fire, Flyboxin, Team Kayla, Team Nevs, Team VQ25… - the full lineup reads like a Fast & Furious meets SA Hip-Hop collab.
Tickets are available at Computicket from just R200.
General Access gets you into the event to feel the tyre smoke in your nostrils. These tickets grant you a spot on the public grandstands.
Friends of Red Bull Hospitality is for the high-rollers and wheel lovers. This gives you access to the exclusive deck, limited food and drinks, and an unbeatable view of the action.

Red Bull Shay’ iMoto is more than a motorsport – it’s a movement.
It’s a celebration of culture, of adrenaline, of South African excellence behind the wheel.
So, bring your mates, bring your shades and leave your quiet voice at home.
August 10. Suncoast. Be there or miss the spin of your life.
