Where? Playhouse Opera: 19 Oct – 9 Nov

The beloved KZN Philharmonic Orchestra has announced the details of its 2023 World Symphony Series Spring Season – a momentous occasion which marks the Orchestra’s 40th Anniversary. Each Thursday concert will commence at 7pm. Tickets cost for R50 adults throughout. It's unreserved seating in the downstairs stalls, and the Playhouse coffee corner is open for coffee and light snacks.

Catch Baritone Federico Freschi in concert with Christopher Duigan 

Where: All Souls Anglican Church, Umhlali, Salt Rock

Much loved and respected KZN pianist Christopher Duigan is thrilled to announce the return of popular baritone Federico Freschi, accompanied by Duigan himself – performing at All Souls Anglican Church Sheffield Beach Rd, Umhlali, Salt Rock on Sunday, 5 November, at 3pm.

Join Rhumbelow's movie night with friends makes for an old-fashioned cinema experience, complete with affordable drinks and snacks. Roland Stansell and the Rhumbelow team curate a diverse selection of films, mostly with single screenings. 

The Rhumbelow Theatre hosts regular movies on a large screen in a club format. Remember to book a table, as seating is limited. Food is available on-site as well as limited secure parking. Booking is a must, and they have a bar with a no BYO alcohol policy.

Durban Art Gallery to stage Pitika Ntuli’s acclaimed exhibition

Where? Durban Art Gallery, Durban Central 

Pitika Ntuli’s solo exhibition, Azibuyele Emasisweni (Return to the Source), which is curated by Ruzy Rusike, is currently exhibiting at the DAG until January 2024. The eighty-year-old artist has created 45 new sculptures from bones and other materials.

"Fly Me to The Moon" Recycled Paper Workshop

Where? Manna Café, Glenwood

Fly Me to The Moon Recycled Paper Workshop with Manna Café on November 10, 2023, from 10:00am to 1:00pm offers a mobile crafting experience. 

The workshop fee is R180, inclusive of materials and refreshments. Participants can create celestial-themed mobiles from recycled paper and string, making ideal Christmas gifts or developing craft skills.
