If you are anything like us and love a good race, then you will be happy to know that Durban has its own version of the hit American reality show, 'The Amazing Race'.

Modelled after the hit show, the Durban Amazing Race will see teams of 4-5 people compete in mental and physical challenges at secret locations in and around Durban.

For R250 per person, the challenges are set to be lighthearted and not too difficult.

The event has been successful previously and the organisers decided to host another 'Amazing Race' in Durban this weekend, 1 June 2024.

Teams can expect to receive clues and riddles at the start of the race; this will enable contestants to follow the route, which consists of several stops, with various activities that participants need to complete at each stop.

It is the ultimate event for thrill seekers, people who work well in teams, or even those who don't and want to enjoy a group outing.

"The event’s focus is all about fun, creativity, and fundraising. Winners will be determined using a point system, with various vouchers and prizes to be distributed for best dressed, best team spirit, and more. Bring your friends, book your team, and have loads of FUN!!" (Instagram)

The initial cut-off date for teams to register was 28 May 2024, but the organisers have extended the date to this evening. The cut-off time is now midnight tonight (30 May 2024).

Some important information to note:

  • You must have a car.
  • You must have mobile phones.
  • Sense of adventure is a must

You can book your team by contacting Nandi on WhatsApp or call 083 785 1462 or email: [email protected]

Group bookings will be confirmed with proof of payment via EFT.

Good luck!
