Smokie in SA tour postponed

The English rock band Smokie will not be performing in South Africa later this month as had been planned. Tour organiser Lefra Productions has announced the postponement of the shows due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"In light of the recent announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa regarding emergency measures to stop the spread of the Coronavirus-outbreak in South Africa, Lefra has decided to postpone the SMOKIE concerts that were due to be held at the end of this month at Carnival City on the East Rand, GrandWest in Cape Town, and Time Square in Pretoria in December 2020," said Frans Swart, Managing Director of Lefra Productions.

He says that the tour is only postponed and definitely not cancelled. The "Living Next Door to Alice" singers will now perform in December 2020.

  • 11 December 2020 - GrandWest - Cape Town
