The original song, 'I Put a Spell on You', was released in the 1960s.

It is one of the most popular songs released by the star before her passing in 2003.

The star would have celebrated her 90th birthday, as she was born on 21 February 1933.

Nina began singing in the 1950s.

‘I Loves You Porgy’, a song released in 1959, shot her to fame.

Simone was diagnosed with manic depression (bipolar disorder). The medication she took to treat the manic depression affected her motor skills and left her with slurred speech and reduced ability on the piano. She later died on 21 April 2003 at the age of 70.

Nina's talent was unmatched and she sold over one-million albums in the last decade of her life, making her a global catalog best-seller, states ninasimone.com
