British singer Simon John Charles Le Bon was born on 27 October 1958.

Today, the legendary singer turns 64.

From a young age, the singer showed signs that he was meant to be a star.

In the 1970s, he and his brothers featured in TV commercials.

Popularly known as the front man of Duran Duran, Charles is not only musically talented, but he is also an actor. He has featured in films such as ‘The Saint’, ‘Donnie Darko’, and ‘Layer Cake’.

Alongside his band, Simon released the top charting hits, ‘The Reflex’ and ‘A View To A Kill’. So far, they have 15 albums.

Duran Duran has been singing and performing for the past four decades.

In an interview with Sky News, the singer revealed that the secret behind the band’s success is not only their friendship, but treating everyone equally.

"We have friendship, we have passion for music that we share. But there's one other thing that I think is important, it's quite prosaic in a way, but the fact is we split all of the income equally.

"So nobody earns any more than anybody else, and any band out there reading this, I would suggest that that's a very good way to proceed, if you want to be in a band that is together after 40 years."

According to Sky News, the group will be inducted into the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

To celebrate the musician and father of three, East Coast Gold will be playing some of the hits released by the star and his band, Duran Duran.
