Elton John turns 74 on Thursday, 25 March. 

The living legend has given the world five decades of great music.

His first album 'Empty Sky' was released in 1969. John prides himself as being one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 300-million copies. 

Some of his hit singles include ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘Bennie and the Jets', ‘Don't Go Breaking My Heart’ and ‘Island Girl’. 

Apart from being a phenomenal singer, John is a great performer. He also has a great fashion sense. John normally wears over-the-top costumes and glasses for his performances. 

The superstar is a recipient of the Grammy Hall of Fame and has many awards including Grammys and Brit awards.
