Country singer Toby Keith passes away

Tributes keep pouring in for country legend Toby Keith, who passed away on Monday at the age of 62.

Country legend Toby Keith has passed away.  

The legendary singer passed away on Monday in Oklahoma. 

The news was shared on his official website. 

He was 62 at the time of his passing.

The cause of death has been revealed as stomach cancer, according to Today

In 2022, Toby revealed that he has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. 

At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his family. 

“Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage," a statement posted to Keith’s website and social media said.

The singer is known for producing hits such as 'Your Daddy’ and ‘Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue’. 

Tributes have been pouring since his passing and his family has asked for privacy.

"Please respect the privacy of his family at this time,” his family said in the statement.
