WhatsApp is set to block screenshot ability for all users

Here below are the views of Darren and Sky talking about the new WhatsApp feature that's soon to rock the streets.

Everyone is going to freak out when they here about the new feature WhatsApp will have. 

So according to MyBroadband, WhatsApp is rolling out screenshot and screen recording blocking for view-once images and videos.

This new feature will be available to WhatsApp users on the latest Android version of the app. 

This will be a game changer for loads of people who would usually screenshot stuff on their WhatsApp.

So when a person tries to screen record, they will have a a message saying this... 

Can’t take screenshot due to security policy.

Even though there would be third-party applications that would be able to bypass the screenshot process, but the Meta Platform that owns the messaging service has those covered as well.

Here's an example (below) of someone attempting to screenshot. It shows a pop up message with third-party apps that will return to a black image.

According to WABetaInfo, they have noted that a sender of the message isn’t notified when someone attempts to screenshot it. 

People can be confident that they will be blocked.

However, the screenshot blocking feature is limited to only images and videos. 

What this means is that users can still capture conversations with disappearing messages.

Speaking ahead of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had first announced the screenshot blocking feature in August 2022.

“We’ll keep building new ways to protect your messages and keep them as private and secure as face-to-face conversations,” says Zuckerberg on a Facebook post.
