WATCH: M4 high-speed chase ends in arrest for uMhlanga robber

There was a high-speed chase on the M4. The incident took place on Thursday evening. The chase was between Marshall Security and the alleged robbers who were involved with issues in the uMhlanga and Durban North areas. 

Speaking on the high-speed chase was Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell, who went on to conclude that one of the alleged suspects had been arrested.

Marshall Security were on patrol in uMhlanga when the two officers noticed two suspects robbing somebody of their cellphone. After the incident, both suspects jumped into a white VW Polo and immediately fled the scene. 

This was when the high-speed chase started. 

The suspects took to the M4 as they looked to get away. In the video, you can see that later, the driver lost control of the vehicle when colliding with another motorist just before the Glenashley turn-off.

One of the suspects was immediately arrested, while the second suspect entered a nearby bush and managed to evade arrest. The arrested suspect was handed over at the Durban North South African Police Station
