Hilarious placards inspire Cape Town man to help unemployed father
This father of three has found a way to put a smile on people's faces and also support his family in the process.
A 27-year-old father has caught the attention of many commuters and passersby on the streets of Blouberg in the Western Cape.
Lusindiso Malgas draws up funny placards to spread joy whilst also putting food on the table for his family.

With the many retrenchments due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Malgas, unfortunately, lost his job as a warehouse packer - which is when he resolved to use his sense of humour to survive.
Malgas' placards have gained traction and caught the attention of many good Samaritans, who have given him money to buy groceries. One particular good Samaritan and business consultant, Brendan Cottle, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on BackaBuddy to help Malgas realise his dream of becoming a homeowner.
“Seeing Lusindiso’s smile brightened up my morning commute and I know the same can be said for many others. I am a very optimistic and positive person and when I saw Lu's smile and happiness to do what he was doing, made me think about his and the situation of others, especially during the country lockdown.
"I hope with this campaign, Lusindiso’s story can reach more people and that his positivity can circle the globe,” Cottle was quoted as saying.

Donations to date stand at R39,000, with a fundraising target of R250,000.
