Patients have been moved to the corridors from wards experiencing roof and window leaks," she says.

Thusi and other member of the provincial cabinet inspected the damage at King Edward and Prince Mshiyeni today.

The MEC also announced that 42 schools in the province have been affected by severe weather.

Thusi gave a breakdown of the regions affected.

"Ugu - 12, Umlazi - 24, King Cetshwayo - four, Pinetown - one, and Umgungundlovu - one. Nine of these are high schools.
