Club music, social media, animals and nifty gadgets are some of Deon Govender’s favourite things. This larger-than-life personality discovered his passion for radio when he landed a job Durban Youth Radio while still at school. 

 

Deon moved on to Red Cap Radio before joining the East Coast Radio family in 2007. He then tested the Joburg waters with a short stint at Highveld Stereo before returning to East Coast. 

 

Deon enjoys a massive social media fan-base as well as a loyal following in the local club scene where he often plays to thousands of people at a time.

 

Deon is optimistic and upbeat with an infectious enthusiasm for Gadgets and Games; his X-Box is his pride and joy! He is absolutely passionate about music, cars and WWE; he’s the quintessential Generation X’er!
