South Africa's COVID-19 deaths rise by 7, toll at 65

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of seven more people in South Africa -- bringing the death toll up to 65.

Five people were from the Western Cape, and two were diagnosed in KwaZulu-Natal. 


The number of new infections has risen sharply by 170. 


South Africa now has 3 635 confirmed cases of the disease. 


Gauteng remains the epicentre of the outbreak, followed by the Western Cape and KZN with 758.
