South Africa reports 1585 Covid-19 cases

South Africa has now a recorded nine deaths associated with COVID-19 and 1585 positive cases.
That is an increase of 80 new cases since
yesterday.
Six of the deaths have been recorded in KZN.
The Health Department has noted over 50,000 tests have been conducted in the
country.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize says with 11 confirmed cases linked to Durban
hospital, St Augustines – and three of the deceased patients admitted at the
facility, contact tracing and testing has intensified.

At this stage more than 150 tests have been conducted within the hospital.

Mkhize urged anyone who was a patient at the hospital from the first of March - to urgently contact the KZN Health Department.
